As a third generation entrepreneur, Nicole Thomas, experienced the business operations of two entrepreneurs - her father and grandfather.
She initially pursued entrepreneurship in Houston, Texas as the owner and operator of a health and wellness company before moving to Memphis.
Thomas earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a master's degree in public administration from Texas Southern University in Houston. A master’s degree in business administration (MBA) was earned from the University of Memphis. Additionally, she holds certifications in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University, as well as strategic communications from the University of Texas at Austin.
For over 10 years, she has lived in Memphis and is helping entrepreneurs. Her company, Nicallyss Creative Group, provides marketing and strategic communications.
"I assess their business needs and create strategies that guide clients on a journey that helps them identify and connect with their intended audience based on the company's goals and objectives. Based on their needs, I provide customized content, tools and resources to maximize marketing opportunities," said Thomas.
While entrepreneurship can be rewarding, it is also challenging at times.
"The most challenging aspect can be the things you discover that you don’t know along the way. But that is the beautiful challenge of being an entrepreneur, solving problems and learning lessons along the way," said Thomas.
