MSBQ freelancers 2017-2022

Karlyne Killebrew is a graduate of the University of Memphis. She received her juris doctor degree in 2021.
Killebrew is serving as the digital editor for Writing by Design Media, Inc. She has written articles for other publications as a freelance journalist and editor.
In addition to this role, she works for Methodist Lebonheur Healthcare as a paralegal.


Jonathan Ennis is a graduate of the University of Memphis. He received his undergraduate degree in Creative Mass Media in 2021.
Ennis worked as an intern in the fall of 2021 and recently served as a creative mass media contractor.
Jonathan created the MSBQ 2022 Anniversary edition layout design.

Adrianna Hardy is a current student at the University of Memphis, majoring in business information and technology. Hardy wrote an essay about the founder of Writing by Design Media, Inc. for a class assignment.

She visited the Crews Center for Entrepreneurship in the spring of 2022 to interview an entrepreneur.
Her essay was published in the 2022 Memphis Small Business Quarterly Anniversary + Collector’s edition.
Jennifer Sharp is the inaugural freelance writer for Memphis Small Business Quarterly. She wrote articles about nonprofits, black-owned businesses, real estate and event planning.
Sharp is a graduate student at the University of Memphis and serves as the Memphis chapter president of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

Johari Hamilton is a graduate of Southwest Tennessee Community College. She served as an intern for Writing by Design Media PR (now Writing by Design Media, Inc.) through the Tennessee Small Business Development Center in 2019. Following her internship, she was a content writer and copy editor for past magazine editions. She helped to create the content for Emerging and Enterprising Entrepreneurs (E3) magazine prototype.
Currently, she is attending the Middle Tennessee State University majoring in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and Strategic Media.

Jurnee Taylor is a graduate of the University of Memphis. She majored in journalism. Taylor currently works as a broadcast journalist in Arkansas.

One of her articles included Phillip Ashley Rix, founder of Phillip Ashley Chocolates - a luxury chocolate brand.
