Trinity Chism, Spring 2021

Chism is a student at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. She is majoring in Communication Studies. She created content for social media platforms. 

“Because the internship was catered to learning and writing about entrepreneurship, I was exposed to some great local business people,” said Chism. “I found myself enjoying the articles that I was required to write about and being in a constant state of learning,” added Chism.

Jonathan Ennis, Fall 2021

Ennis is a student intern from the University of Memphis. He
is a creative mass media major with a minor in advertising. ”My goal as an intern is gain experience working within a business to set myself up for success after graduation.” Ennis created artwork and edited videos for social media platforms.
 Ennis created the 2021 Annual Report layout design for Writing by Design Media, Inc. 

Alexandria Berry, Spring 2022 

Berry, graduate student at the University of Memphis, is writing articles for the digital platform and creating a social media content strategy. In 2021, she worked briefly in the Summer and created digital content for social media platform.s.

Joshua Yarbrough, Spring 2022

Joshua Yarbrough, student at the University of Memphis, is the Spring 2022 graphic design intern. Yarbrough is majoring in architecture. He is a senior and will graduate this year. As a graphic design intern, he creates designs for social media platforms and the magazine layout. The 2022 Black History Month magazine edition is the latest design project along with BHM graphics. Yarbrough has also done design work for entrepreneurs in Memphis as a freelancer.

Michaela Thomas, Spring 2022

Michaela Thomas is a graduating senior at LeMoyne-Owen College. She is majoring in journalism and mass communications. Thomas will be writing feature articles, news briefs and creating digital content during her internship. 

The Multimedia Journalism Internship program is designed for students who are majoring in journalism, public relations and/or communications at a two-year or four-year college. Applicants can submit a resume, writing samples and college transcript to editor@wbdmedia.com. The GPA requirement is 2.5 or higher.
